Davangere dosa stalls is a common site all over the Pune but Om Sai Dakshin Dosa in Chinchwad is quite serious about it. And we like that.
Every evening here is full of fuss and enthusiasm. People keep shouting and screaming their orders, continuously checking if it is ready. And a gentleman on the other hand, silently notes them down (such is his patience🤔!!) and helps his team to translate it on a vast dosa pan. Most of it being the evergreen Loni (butter) Masala Dosa. As they spread the milky white batter on the fiercely hot pan and generously add fresh butter on it my inner voice says “God bless you”… And that is what Davangere Dosa is all about. Each bite of it is buttery yumm. Even the chutney and Potato vegetable on the side are just magnificent and add more fun to it.
Other varieties are equally good with Cut Dosa being my favourite. A spicier and more westernized version of Dosa. Cut Dosa is packed with the potato vegetable, chopped onions and tomatoes and bunch of spices. This roll can be eaten with chutney being the dip for it. Hell lot tastier than the usual dosas.
And it ain’t a costly affair so go and grab.
